Project Overview
Humble Beginnings
In 1994, as a birthday gift to Wendy, Scott purchased a rough around the edges shell of a 73 Dodge Challenger with a pile of miscellaneous parts packed inside. A sight for sore eyes with every single body panel being a different color & full of BB holes, Scott spray bombed it with gray primer to make it look more presentable while it sat in the driveway awaiting its fate!
While deciding what direction to take the car in, countless hours were spent pouring thru all the car magazines (this was before the internet and google) to see what “go fast” goodies were available for Mopars. We quickly realized the options were very limited. Right around this same time period, ProCharger was just hitting the aftermarket world with their centrifugal superchargers. Having a knack for building things and being on a shoe-string budget with just starting the family and the business simultaneously, we decided to take matters in to our own hands. A P600B ProCharger supercharger head unit was purchased and we got busy fitting it to a small block 360ci engine that we built with custom fabbed bracketry and thus our Chryster kits were born.
